Traditional NTC/PTC thermistors, although widely used, do not always provide the expected precision in measurements. PT RTD sensors (Resistance Temperature Detectors) help avoid these types of problems. The MAX31865 module is compatible with PT100 RTD probes, which are characterized by much greater stability and precision. This means you can be sure that the measurements are not only accurate, but also repeatable.
The MAX31865 module can work with PT100 RTD probes in a 2, 3 or 4-wire configuration.
