A module with a 0.96" OLED display with a resolution of 128x64 pixels dedicated to the BBC micro:bit platform. It allows easy connection of the micro:bit without additional mounting thanks to the built-in edge connector. The display uses the SSD1306 controller operating with the I2C interface, and the board has pads for splitting the I2C lines and additional pins for connecting sensors, which allows for the expansion of the module with new functions. Kitronik provides dedicated blocks and sample code for the MakeCode and MicroPython editors. Kitronik 56115
The :VIEW Graphics128 module features a 0.96" OLED display with a resolution of 128x64 pixels designed for the BBC micro:bit platform. Thanks to the built-in edge connector, the micro:bit can be easily mounted on the board without the need for additional fixtures. The module also includes a micro:bit-style I/O connector, allowing it to be connected to other micro:bit accessories with the appropriate slot. All pins from the BBC micro:bit are redirected to the module's connector, ensuring full utilization of the micro:bit's capabilities along with the added functionality of the display. Since the micro:bit is inserted directly into the module, no tools, mounts, or soldering are required.
The 128x64 display uses the SSD1306 controller operating via the I2C interface. In the center of the module, there are pads for splitting the I2C lines, as well as two ground pads and one 3V power pad. The pads are spaced 2.54 mm apart, allowing them to be used with wires or connectors. This enables users to expand the device with additional I2C sensors and functionalities. It is also possible to change the default I2C address of the module. Kitronik has created dedicated blocks and example code for the MakeCode and MicroPython editors. The module requires a power supply of 3 V and does not have over-voltage protection. The board features an LED that indicates when the module is powered. When all pixels are maximally lit, the module draws up to 40 mA.
