Description

The M5Stack Tab5 development terminal, based on the ESP32-P4 microcontroller (RISC-V, 16 MB Flash, 32 MB PSRAM), provides high performance and broad scalability for IoT projects, industrial automation and intelligent control systems. The built-in ESP32-C6-MINI-1U module supports Wi-Fi 6 connectivity and allows choosing between an integrated 3D antenna and an external one via an MMCX connector. The 5″ IPS color display with a 1280×720 resolution and MIPI-DSI interface ensures smooth touch operation. The SC2356 camera (2 MP, 1600×1200, MIPI-CSI) enables HD video capture and AI applications such as face recognition and object tracking.

USB Type-A (Host) and USB Type-C (OTG) interfaces allow connecting peripherals, while the RS-485 port (SIT3088 chip with a switchable 120 Ω terminator) enables industrial communication. HY2.0-4P connectors, M5-Bus, GPIO_EXT, a microSD slot and STAMP pads allow expansion with additional sensors and communication modules including Cat-M, NB-IoT and LoRaWAN. The audio system based on the ES8388 codec and ES7210 converter with AEC includes directional microphones, a 3.5 mm headphone jack and a 1 W speaker, enabling high-fidelity audio recording and playback as well as precise speech recognition.

The integrated BMI270 sensor (6-axis, wake-up function) supports motion tracking, while the RX8130CE real-time clock enables timed wake-ups. Power is supplied using a replaceable NP-F550 battery (charging via IP2326, MP4560 converter, power monitoring with INA226). A 1/4″–20 tripod nut enables mounting on a tripod or holder.
