The DRV5032 Hall Effect Magnetic Field Detection Module is an energy-efficient module for IoT projects, positioning systems, and battery-powered devices. With its digital output, compact design, and wide supply voltage range (1.65 to 5.5 V), it can be easily integrated into a variety of applications, offering magnet detection without the need for continuous power consumption. Adafruit 6051
The DRV5032 digital Hall effect sensor module by Texas Instruments is an excellent solution for adding magnetic field detection to your project. With its digital output, the sensor signals when the magnetic flux density threshold is exceeded, making it ideal for detecting the presence of magnets. The device integrates a Hall element, analog signal conditioning, and a low-frequency oscillator, allowing for ultra-low power consumption.
The sensor operates with a supply voltage from 1.65 V to 5.5 V, periodically performing measurements, updating the output, and entering sleep mode. This makes it a great choice for energy-efficient applications such as battery-powered devices, door sensors, position detection systems, or IoT projects. The module features a 3-pin header (goldpin) for breadboard use and a JST PH (2 mm) connector for solder-free connections. The JST cable is not included in the kit, but is not required for operation. With its compact size and lightweight design, the breakout board easily fits into most electronic projects.
