OAK-1 Lite is an advanced AI camera with a 13 MP resolution, offering neural network processing and computer vision capabilities directly on the device. This enables high-resolution image capture, the ability to run custom AI models, and perform complex image analysis tasks. The camera uses USB-C for both power and USB3 connectivity, ensuring fast data transfer.
The device is equipped with RVC2 architecture, offering 4 TOPS of computational power, of which 1.4 TOPS are dedicated to AI tasks. OAK-1 supports any AI models, including custom architectures after conversion. The camera allows encoding in H.264, H.265, MJPEG formats at 4K/30FPS or 1080P/60FPS resolutions. In terms of computer vision, the device offers distortion correction, resizing, cropping, edge detection, and feature tracking. The object tracking function supports 2D tracking using the ObjectTracker module. Power consumption depends on device load, with a maximum of up to 5W. The Fixed-Focus version, with a mechanically locked lens, is recommended for high-vibration environments like drones, vehicles, or lawnmowers.
The camera is housed in a durable aluminum casing with a front panel made of Gorilla Glass, ensuring high durability. It also has a standard mounting thread of 1/4", allowing for easy attachment to a tripod. The camera uses a USB-C port (USB 3.2 Gen1, 5 Gbps) for both power and data transfer. Energy consumption depends on the functions used. The base power consumption during video streaming ranges from 2.5W to 3W, with additional power needs for AI subsystems, stereoscopy, and video encoding, totaling a maximum of 5 W. To reduce power consumption, the frame rate can be lowered, which reduces load on individual subsystems.
