AVTMOD09

The AVTMOD09 module is a universal RS232 <-> USB converter that mediates data exchange between a PC equipped with USB and any digital system equipped with UART. The module uses the FTDI FT232RL system. Thanks to free drivers including to the Windows system, which can emulate the serial port of the computer, it is possible to easily extend the devices previously used for transmission of the RS232 serial link.

The module has been tested in cooperation with such sets as: AVT389, AVT966, AVT927, AVT953, AVT570, AVT527, AVT5186, AVT3500, AVT3505 by attaching RX and TX lines directly to the microcontroller of the set.

• data transfer speed: from 300 bd to 1 Mbd, 256 B buffer Rx / 128 B Tx buffer
• support for 7/8 data bits, 1/2 stop bits, parity mark or none
• bidirectional, asynchronous data transmission
• compliance with UHCI / OHCI / EHCI
• cooperation with USB 1.1 and USB 2.0 interfaces (in Full Speed mode - 12 Mbd)
• the ability to specify and store USB VID, PID and serial number in the EEPROM memory
• free drivers for Windows 98 / 98SE / Me / 2000 / XP / CE / Vista and MAC-OS and Linux
• dimensions of the module board: 15x27mm
• power from the USB port
