The M5Stack Cardputer is a portable, card-sized computer designed for versatile applications in automation, prototyping, and education. At its core is the M5StampS3 module, powered by a high-performance dual-core ESP32-S3 microcontroller, supporting Wi-Fi and BLE 5 communication. This makes the Cardputer suitble for IoT projects, industrial automation systems, and smart home applications.
The device integrates various features and peripherals, including a 56-key keyboard, a 1.14-inch TFT display, a MEMS SPM1423 digital microphone, and a speaker. These components enable easy data input, information display, sound handling, and recording. An infrared transmitter allows control of external devices such as TVs and air conditioners, making the Cardputer a versatile and practical tool.
Equipped with a Grove HY2.0-4P port, the Cardputer supports connecting I2C sensors and modules, enabling users to expand its functionality with temperature, light, pressure sensors, and more. Additionally, a built-in Micro SD card slot allows storage of program codes, data, images, or audio files, enhancing flexibility and use cases.
The device is powered by a 120 mAh lithium battery, complemented by an additional 1400 mAh battery in the base, ensuring extended operation without frequent recharging. The Cardputer also features charging and voltage regulation circuits that automatically adjust charging parameters, protecting both the battery and the device.
The base includes a magnet for easy attachment to metal surfaces like boards or refrigerators. Furthermore, its Lego-compatible design allows for creative projects and integration with other components.
