BIQU AJAX TD1S is an innovative device designed for precise measurement of transmittance distance (TD) through filament and for capturing the actual filament color in hex format. This tool gives users full control over 3D print quality, eliminating issues related to color differences and unpredictable results in multi-color projects. The device was developed in collaboration between BIQU and AJAX, two recognized leaders in the 3D printing industry, ensuring reliability and top-quality construction. Using advanced optical technology, the TD1S measures filament transmittance distance with ±7.5% accuracy, enabling realistic transparency effects and photorealistic finishes.
The function for recording exact color codes helps maintain project consistency and avoids differences between material batches. The collected data can be easily integrated with HueForge software, which automatically incorporates TD and color in the model creation process. Integration with Orca Slicer and Mainsail is planned, further streamlining workflow.
The device features a OLED display that shows all data in real-time, and USB-C power supply ensures convenience and compatibility with modern workstations. The TD1S operates in two modes: Quick Capture for rapid registration of new filaments, and Continuous Capture for ongoing monitoring during printing or production.
With the BIQU AJAX TD1S, the swap by layer technique can be applied, allowing filament changes on individual layers.
