Description

The Simply Servo module for the Raspberry Pi Pico is a compact board that allows for simultaneous control of up to 8 servos, making it an ideal solution for advanced robotics projects based on the Pico. The board is designed to work with the Pico model that has soldered pin connectors; the Pico can be easily inserted directly into the board. The board is equipped with standard 3-pin connectors for servos, allowing for direct connection without the need for adapters or soldering. This makes the configuration of the servos quick and intuitive. In addition to supporting 8 servos, the module features 5 external GPIO pin connections and 3V and GND power connections from the Pico. This I/O section also provides 3 ADC pins along with GP0 and GP1, allowing for the connection of additional devices and the reading or controlling of their states through the Pico.

The board is powered through a screw terminal, with the power source controlled by an on/off switch. The board has a built-in green LED that indicates when power is on. The module generates regulated 3 V power, which is supplied to the 40-pin connector, eliminating the need to power the Pico separately. The power connectors are protected against reverse polarity, enhancing user safety.

Kitronik has developed a MicroPython module and sample code for controlling servos with the Pico. With these resources, programming the servos becomes simple and accessible for both beginners and experienced users.
