Prusament PVB Smoky Black 500 g (NFC), 1.75 mm filament

Description

Prusament PVB Smoky Black 500 g (NFC) is intended for 3D printing visual models and decorative elements requiring a semi-transparent appearance and smooth surface finish. PVB (polyvinyl butyral) material allows chemical smoothing using isopropyl alcohol (IPA), producing a glass-like surface. This property enables applications such as vases, lamp shades, decorative objects, jewelry, film props, and costume parts.

The material features low warping and good adhesion to the print surface, which facilitates printing of larger models. Printing parameters remain similar to PLA, while mechanical properties are comparable to CPE or PETG.

The filament is manufactured by Prusa Research in a controlled production process including continuous diameter monitoring, color consistency control, and mechanical property testing. Each spool includes an individual QR code enabling verification of production parameters for the specific batch, and the spool is equipped with a writable NFC tag compliant with the OpenPrintTag standard for automatic filament recognition.
