The latest version of the Raspberry Pi computer: Raspberry Pi 4 model B with quad-core SoC (Broadcom BCM2711, core Cortex-A72) working at 1.5 GHz, 2 GB (also available versions with 4 GB ) RAM LPDDR4, Broadcom VideoCore VI graphic layout.

The computer has a built-in WiFi network card (IEEE 802.11b / g / n / ac 2.4 / 5 GHz) and a Bluetooth 5.0 / BLE module. In addition, the board includes: 2 USB 2.0 ports, 2 USB 3.0 ports, 40-pin GPIO connector (fully compatible with previous versions), 2 microHDMI ports, Gigabit Ethernet (RJ45 socket), DSI connector (for display connection), CSI connector (for connecting the camera ), microSD card connector and 4 mounting holes.

As a power source, the Raspberry Pi 4 model B uses a type C USB port, at the same time a 5 V power supply and a current capacity of min. 3 A. What's new in Raspberry Pi 4 model B?

Compared to its predecessor, Raspberry Pi 3, the B + model , SOC was made here using 28 nm technology (in the RPI3 B + a 40 nm system was used) and based on Cortex-A72 cores, which can now work at 1.5 GHz. The changes have also occurred in the type and amount of RAM. The basic model has 1 GB of RAM LPDDR4 SDRAM, but adapting its offer to the voice of the community raspberry was also available in options with 2 GB or 4 GB of operating memory.

The new Broadcom VideoCore VI graphics chip has support for H.265 (4K @ 60FPS), H264 (1080p @ 60FPS and 1080p @ 30FPS) codecs and supports OpenGL ES 1.1, 2.0, 3.0, making it possible to generate 4K image resolution (3840 × 2160) up to 60 frames per second (in the case of a single monitor connected, in the case of two monitors only 4K and 30 frames per second are possible).

Changes also occurred in the connectors, the computer was equipped with 2 USB 2.0 ports and 2 USB 3.0 ports. Instead of full-size HDMI, we now have two microHDMI ports (there is an official microHDMI cable - HDMI for Raspberry Pi (white) ) that allow you to display the image in 4K and connect two screens at the same time. The computer was also equipped with a full-fledged Gigabit Ethernet port (in RPI 3B it used USB 2.0 interface, which meant that its speed was limited to 300 Mbps).
