The ArducCAM 5MP MT9P001 is a color camera module based on Micron’s CMOS image sensor – the MT9P001, offering a 5-megapixel resolution (2592 × 1944). Utilizing DigitalClarity™ technology, it delivers high signal-to-noise ratio and excellent low-light sensitivity, comparable to CCD cameras. The camera features a Global Shutter (Global Reset Release), snapshot mode, and bulb-type exposure control, enabling frame capture on demand and precise control over exposure time.
The kit includes a 6 mm M12 lens, providing good sharpness and field of view for a variety of applications. The module supports software control of parameters such as gain, resolution, exposure time, and frame rate. It also offers advanced functions like column/row skipping, binning, and image mirroring. Thanks to its compact size and low power consumption, the camera is well-suited for DIY projects, vision systems, digital cameras, webcams, or mobile devices.
