ZL4ARM modules (dipARM_2106) have been developed for the electronics who want to experiment with ARM7TDMI-S microcontrollers. The dipARM_2106 module can be used alone (microcomputer with power supply voltage stabilizers) in own projects or as a controller of the ZL3ARM evaluation set .

In addition to the microcontroller, on the PCB there are two LDO stabilizers (1.8 V and 3.3 V), which ensure correct conditions for powering this system. All microcontroller I / O lines were led to SIP20 connectors, which were arranged in such a way as to form a DIP40 socket. To the pins of the stand, in addition to the microcontroller's I / O line, microcontroller control signals are also included: RST (reset signal), DBGSEL (input for turning on the microcontroller's hardware debugging) and RTCK (additional clock used during hardware debugging of the microcontroller). Additional signals, except for RST, do not require connection if they are not used in the application. For the output of the 4-module dipARM_2106, the output of the 3.3V stabilizer is additionally connected, which can be used as the power source for the cooperating systems (the load capacity of this stabilizer is 150 mA).
The dipARM_2106 modules are equipped with the LPC2106 microcontroller, which can be clocked at up to 60 MHz (thanks to the built-in PLL loop). The architecture of microcontrollers manufactured by Philips and their internal equipment (especially the large memory capacity of SRAM) is an excellent platform for programmers using high-level languages, primarily C.
The microcontrollers used in modules dipARM_2106 are characterized by rich internal equipment, which includes, among others: serial interfaces (SPI, I2C and UART), 128 kB Flash memory with the ability to program in the system, 64 kB SRAM, built-in interrupt controller, hardware RTC clock, watchdog, advanced capabilities timers (including PWM generation), energy management system management and PLL loop, used to multiply the frequency of the external clock signal.
