About the book

PLC programmable controllers are increasingly used to control machines, devices and industrial processes. This is connected with an increase in the demand for literature related to their programming. The book "Programming PLC controllers" presents the basics, principles and examples of PLC programming.

The basics are discussed based on the international IEC 1131-3 standard for programming languages of programmable controllers. Due to the fact that the majority of programming tools (as well as instructions) encountered are written in English, to facilitate referring to them, the English equivalents are also given for most of the terms or terms used.

The principles of programming were developed on the basis of the authors' extensive experience in the field of didactics as well as design and commissioning of control systems in cooperation with well-known companies dealing in industrial automation. Zasday te discusses presenting software for selected drivers from popular series.

Examples include both simple logic control tasks and control tasks in control systems using the PID algorithm and sequential batch process control. The examples discussed are tested in didactics as well as in practical applications.
