Description

Relay circuits are the most popular electronically controlled alternating current (AC) switching method, because of their simplicity and safety, as the switching circuit and the switched voltage are completely separated. Their biggest disadvantage is the low switching speed (eg in the case of billboards) and the short lifetime of the contacts.
