The availability of more and more advanced LEDs has meant that they are gradually replacing traditional light sources, ie ubiquitous light bulbs. We present one of the possible applications - a flashlight. As the light source was used in it a glowing white light, high-power LED diode. It is characterized by a luminous flux of up to 140 lumens and durability (with adequate cooling) of at least 50,000 hours. Since the correct way of feeding the diode is a condition for proper operation, the PSoC processor has been used to monitor it. It guarantees high parameters of the device and provides additional functions - the ability to work as a flasher and a convenient setting of the working point of the LED element.

The device is especially recommended where it is necessary to illuminate the darkness; at home, at night, at the scout camp, etc.

Selected parameters:

  • light source - high power LED
  • two operating modes - continuous and flashing light
  • programmable current setting of the LED diode
  • different ways of enabling / disabling are possible
  • power supply - 4.8-6V (batteries or accumulators)
  • tile dimensions:
    • 39x30mm flashlight
    • 19x23mm diode board
  • in the set, printed circuit boards, programmed layout and documentation
