The concept of data transmission using power cords as a communication channel has been known for many years. Attempts to implement it were made already in the first half of the last century, but the level of technology at that time did not guarantee its use on a massive scale. Today, all barriers have been overcome and the PLC system can be implemented. Its biggest advantage is the lack of the need to build a transmission medium - existing wiring is already in use.
