Many homes have audio equipment of older generations. Years of work cause that small, but tiring faults begin to occur. The most common are 'cracking' volume potentiometers. It happens that their exchange is unprofitable or even impossible - the corresponding spare parts are no longer produced. In such cases it is worth replacing the worn part with its electronic equivalent.
Volumer is a simple microprocessor system whose ATmega8 processor is the 'heart'. It controls the digital stereo audio potentiometer. Data exchange takes place via the TWI interface. The volume of the voice can be adjusted in two ways - directly (by an encoder with a Mute / Loud button) or remotely - by an IR remote control.

The device is especially recommended when repairing and modifying older audio equipment
