Presented codec with S / PDIF interface is characterized by the possibility of quite flexible configuration and, consequently, many own tests and can be a contribution to a deeper interest in digital processing of audio signals. The device is designed based on the Philips UDA1355 chip. It can work in many configurations set in static mode (without a UC) as well as with a microprocessor controller. It has four selectable internal S / PDIF input selector, S / PDIF output, built-in A / CD and D / A converters. The structure also includes a DSP processor that allows you to adjust the level of the A / D converter's signal output as well as the level and color of the D / A converter signal. A very important advantage is the ability to create two independent signal paths, each with a different clock frequency.
