Descriptions of ISP programmers for AVR microcontrollers can be found on the Internet very much. However, the vast majority of them do not work with the USB port. Few supporters of this standard are designed based on the FT232 converter-system. We suggest you to do an ISP programmer without a USB converter. His role was taken over by the ATmega8 microcontroller. The system can be used under the control of Linux and Windows operating systems, with AVRStudio programming environments, BascomAVR, CodeVisionAVR and others.
The device is especially recommended for all programming AVR microcontrollers
