RC5 DECODER WITH SPI INTERFACE, DESCRIBED IN VERILOG LANGUAGE - PRINTED BOARD AND PROGRAMMED LAYOUT
Nowadays, in most cases the decoding of remote control signals takes place in a software manner. The alternative is to use a completely hardware solution. Thanks to the use of programmable systems, it is easy to implement and relatively cheap. KIT AVT545 is a hardware decoder RC5 protocol with a parallel interface and a serial interface compatible with SPI. It was described in the Verilog language and implemented using the CPLD system.
In the article, in addition to the description of the construction of an example decoder, the design in Verilog was presented.
The device is especially recommended for people interested in programmable systems and building remote control systems
