Most of the constructors-radioelectronics constructing various radio devices measure the frequencies occurring in them. Such measurement, however, is burdened with an error resulting from the lack of calibration of the meter-frequency meter. Virtually all of the frequency meters presented in the literature operate on the basis of a reference generator designed on linearized gates and contain accidentally selected (without paying attention to its stability) quartz resonator. The error of such a device can even amount to +/- 3kHz at 10MHz. This can have a significant impact on the readings, making it impossible to even take some measurements.
The frequency calibrator we propose uses a GPS receiver as the source of reference signals. The stability of the obtained pattern is at the level of 200ns, which translates into a 2kHz error for 10MHz.
The device is particularly recommended in amateur and amateur radio studios
