Toroidal transformers are widely used in power supplies for electronic equipment. They have a number of advantages and a very significant disadvantage. When connecting to the network they can generate a very large current pulse. It can trigger the "burning" of fuses not only in the toroid-powered device, but also the operation of security in the home power installation. The reason for this is the possibility of temporary saturation of the core. To avoid the unpleasant effects of this phenomenon, it is enough to use the presented AVT set. The system enables "gentle" switching of the transformer. When the toroid is started, in a row with it, an additional resistor is attached for a moment. It limits the surge current and the appropriate time circuit disconnects it

The device is particularly recommended in power supplies, wherever toroidal transformers are used
