A simple electronic system that plays the role of an hourglass. The device measures time and signals its elapse by means of eleven LEDs set in line. At the beginning of the work you hear a sound signal, then the next LEDs light up, the last one shines steadily. The passage of time is signaled by the approaching of two points of light. At the end of the measured interval a short beep sounds and the last two pulses pulsate with increased brightness. The end of the measured time determines a longer sound signal.
The hourglass was designed to measure two times: 4 or 5 minutes.
The device is particularly recommended in the kitchen and all those who want to precisely measure the time intervals of several minutes
