Anyone who has never done pasta or made a "floating" egg for a "hard" time will appreciate the simple but useful device presented in the kitchen timer.
It would seem that its only function, or measuring out the time - makes it not very useful, and yet, as shown in the daily culinary practice, it has become an absolutely necessary device in the kitchen. The presented solution is an assembly of a handful of easily accessible and cheap components and an interesting package. The whole is made in such a way as to ensure simplicity of use.
Practical tests have shown that a timer powered by three rechargeable Ni-Cd batteries with a capacity of 900mAh requires normal charging every few months.
