The presented DCC decoder is an excellent alternative to expensive factory solutions; useful to railway modelers, but it is also a very good exercise for electronics and automation, because it uses an extraordinary solution for data and power transmission.

Basic information:

  • recommended tension on the track: 17.20 volts
  • permissible voltage on the track: 12.25 V
  • maximum continuous continuous current: 1 A
  • Automatic Speed Control (ARP), equivalent to ABC - revised version (10-bit)
