The Philips TDA1541 (A) system according to the information provided by the manufacturer was intended for high-end CD players. The principle of its operation is based on a 16-bit source controlled by the word. The accuracy of the transducer provided small (by the standards of the beginning of the era of CD players) processing errors, good signal-to-noise ratio and linearity, especially at low signal levels. Probably these parameters made the system very popular and turned into a kind of legend.
