Description
DS100 is a device server with serial serial interface (SDS), which as an external converter enables the connection of any device equipped with serial interface to Ethernet (TCP / IP). The converter has a compact, aesthetic housing. The converter is connected to the serial interface by means of the DB9M plug, and the interface type (RS232 / 422/485) is selected using the DIP switch.
The EM100 module was used for the converter construction.

- The RTS, CTS, DTR and DSR lines can be used as remotely controlled I / O lines
- Status information is displayed using 4 LEDs
- Two internal transmission buffers of 510 bytes
- Built-in EEPROM configuration memory
- Support for network protocols, including UDP, TCP, ARP, ICMP (PING) and DHCP
- Configuration of the converter can be done either through a serial port or through a network (using the IP address)
- A set of commands controlling the serial port, network connection, remote status monitoring, etc.
- Firmware upgrade via serial port or via network
- Supplied with the Device Server Toolkit (DST) for Windows software and with the Virtual Serial Port Driver (VSPD) (a program that redirects the COM port)
- A version of VSPD for Linux is available
- Operated by TIBBO.NET (program integrating the distributed system in the network)
