About the book
The book is devoted to one of the most perfect integrated circuits, which appeared in the history of electronics - timer 555. It has been produced for over 30 years, is or was in the product range of nearly 40 companies and still does not announce the end of his career.
The book presents the characteristics and catalog data of 555 timers available on the market, typical and unusual layouts of their work, including information about unusual and little known in our country versions of this system.
The information collected in the book can be an excellent help for the electronics who intend to choose the optimal version of the system to the requirements of the applications in which it will work. New versions of the 555 timer are systematically appearing, which are much faster and more accurate than the original, they consume less energy, they can work with very low and high voltages, their outputs can be charged more than once by electricity, and some versions can hardly be seen with the naked eye. One thing is immutable: the ease of use and the great versatility of the system, which the readers of the book will be convinced of. It presents over 100 various applications of the 555 timer. This system measures time in them, supervises the voltage value, controls triacs, generates less and more sophisticated acoustic signals, takes care of battery life, charges accumulators ... The book is intended for pupils and students technical schools, as well as electronics who want to learn the parameters and capabilities of 555 timers.
