The integrated circuit is intended for gain control in radio-frequency and intermediate-frequency signal paths. Linear-in-dB analogue control provides a gain range from −12 dB to +22 dB, while the integrated RMS detector enables the implementation of an automatic gain control circuit. Analog Devices AD8368ACPZ
Integrated circuit Analog Devices AD8368ACPZ supports signals from low frequencies up to an 800 MHz bandwidth. The X-AMP architecture provides a gain scaling of 37.5 dB/V, a 34 dB adjustment range, and 50 Ω input and output impedances. The MODE input allows the gain direction to be configured so that gain increases or decreases with the control voltage.
The integrated RMS detector allows the device to be configured as a complete AGC loop with RSSI output. The circuit can be used in IF amplifiers, cellular base stations, point-to-point radio links, RF instrumentation, and signal levelling systems. A supply voltage from 4.5 V to 5.5 V and the ENBL input enables the device to be turned on and off, while the 24-lead LFCSP package is intended for surface mounting.
