Using a precision crystal oscillator, the Dallas DS1307 maintains time accuracy even when there is a power outage thanks to the built-in CR2032 backup battery. The low power consumption of the module, resulting from the use of CMOS technology, allows long-term operation with minimal impact on the power supply.
The RTC module with the Dallas DS1307 chip and Atmel AT24C32 memory uses the popular I2C communication interface, facilitating integration with various microcontrollers and development platforms, such as Arduino or Raspberry Pi.
