

Real time clock (RTC) module PCF8523. It uses a 32.768 kHz oscillator and offers an accuracy of 2 seconds/day. The clock counts seconds, minutes, hours, day of the month, month, day of the week and year with leap year compensation. It has a programmable alarm built in. There is a CR1220 battery socket on the board. It is powered with the voltage from 3 V to 5 V, and communication is via the I2C interface. Full documentation is available on the product page.
