HackRF Pro is an open-source SDR (Software Defined Radio) platform intended for receiving, transmitting and analyzing radio signals across a wide frequency range from 100 kHz to 6 GHz. The device operates as a half-duplex RF transceiver and enables testing of modern wireless systems, decoding transmissions, spectrum monitoring and building custom radio applications. With tuning capability from 0 Hz to 7.1 GHz and support for sampling rates up to 20 million samples per second, it is suitable for RF laboratories, amateur radio, cybersecurity, education and advanced research environments.
The platform supports standard 8-bit I/Q sampling and additionally provides a 16-bit extended precision mode for lower sample rate applications as well as a 4-bit mode capable of reaching up to 40 Msps. The built-in TCXO oscillator ensures high frequency stability during measurements and transmission tasks, while the RF shielding improves signal integrity and reduces internal interference. Software-adjustable RX and TX gain, a programmable baseband filter and the ability to supply 3.3 V power on the RF port increase flexibility when working with active external circuits.
HackRF Pro features an FPGA, expanded RAM and Flash memory, a high-speed USB 2.0 interface with USB Type-C connector, SMA RF connector and SMA clock input/output connectors for synchronization and triggering. The board also includes programmable user buttons, internal expansion headers and a hardware transmit disable option. Compatibility with GNU Radio, SDR#, GQRX, CubicSDR and HackRF tools allows the device to operate both as a universal USB SDR interface and as a stand-alone platform for custom RF experiments.
