An advanced real-time event logging and visualization tool for embedded systems, designed for analyzing RTOS and bare-metal applications. It enables monitoring of tasks, interrupts, and timers with single-cycle accuracy, with less than 1% performance overhead and minimal memory requirements (<2 KB ROM, approximately 600 bytes RAM). It supports single-core and multi-core systems, as well as popular RTOSes such as FreeRTOS, embOS, ThreadX, and Zephyr. The software runs on Windows, Linux, and macOS, offering CPU load analysis, heap monitoring, and a detailed event timeline. Segger SystemView (8.50.00)
SEGGER SystemView is an advanced tool for real-time testing, recording, and visualization of embedded systems. It enables in-depth analysis of RTOS-based and bare-metal applications, providing significantly deeper insight than traditional debuggers. By recording events via the debug interface, SystemView allows developers to observe task execution, interrupts, and software timers along with their frequency, order, and execution time. The tool is particularly valuable for complex multithreaded systems, where synchronization, performance, and proper resource management are critical.

SystemView enables continuous real-time event recording with minimal impact on system performance. It supports both single-core and multi-core systems, providing a synchronized view of inter-core interactions. Recorded data can be saved to a file for further analysis or project documentation. The integration module requires less than 2 KB of ROM and approximately 600 B of RAM for continuous recording with J-Link, while performance overhead remains below 1% at 10,000 events per second on a 200 MHz Cortex-M4 core.

The software offers advanced analytical features such as heap monitoring, CPU load analysis, a DataPlot window for real-time variable visualization, and a detailed event timeline. It supports popular RTOS systems including embOS, FreeRTOS, ThreadX, uC/OS, Micrium OS Kernel, Zephyr, and NuttX. SystemView runs on Windows, Linux, and macOS, with communication handled through the debug interface without requiring additional hardware. The commercial license is perpetual, allowing unlimited use of the software over time.
