

The self-adhesive kapton tape is made of polyimide that protects electronic components as well as sockets, plugs and other components from exposure to high temperatures and chemicals. It is used during assembly and repairs using hot air.
Kapton is also used during 3D printing to cover the work surface to prevent the printed object from sliding. The tape does not leave traces of glue.
