Description

Waveshare 31604 - RPI-HMI-7A-ACCE (EU) is an industrial 7″ HMI touch display designed for use with Raspberry Pi 4 and Raspberry Pi 5 computers. The display uses an IPS panel with a resolution of 720 × 1280 px, providing wide viewing angles up to 170° and good readability for industrial interfaces, control panels, and embedded systems.

The panel features a capacitive touchscreen supporting up to 10 touch points, implemented with optical bonding technology. The 6H toughened glass increases resistance to scratches and mechanical damage, while the anti-fingerprint coating reduces fingerprints and makes the surface easier to clean. The display brightness reaches 450 cd/m², and the screen is configured for portrait orientation by default, with the option to switch to landscape via software configuration.

The unit is enclosed in an aluminum housing that acts as a heatsink, providing efficient passive cooling without a fan, which improves reliability in industrial environments. When used with a Raspberry Pi, the system provides multiple interfaces including 2 × HDMI, USB 2.0, USB 3.0, Gigabit Ethernet, and a microSD card slot. Power can be supplied through a USB-C port or a 5 V screw terminal, and the enclosure supports VESA mounting for flexible installation.
