74HC165PW integrated circuit designed for parallel-to-serial data conversion in digital circuits, embedded controllers, and microcontroller applications requiring input expansion. The PISO shift register enables asynchronous loading of 8-bit parallel data from D0-D7 inputs and serial data transmission through the Q7 output synchronized with a clock signal.
The device operates in HC CMOS technology and supports a supply voltage range from 2.0 V to 6.0 V. Inputs tolerant up to 15 V allow use in HIGH-to-LOW logic level conversion applications. The IC features a Clock Enable input for clock signal blocking and complementary Q7 and Q7¯ outputs. The TSSOP16 package intended for SMD assembly enables integration into compact electronic devices, industrial automation systems, and embedded applications.
