I2C bus splitter enabling connection of multiple peripheral modules to a single I2C interface, equipped with Qwire connectors compatible with Qwiic and STEMMA QT, a KAmod I2C connector, and goldpin headers. Kamami KAmod I2C Hub Qwire
The KAmod I2C Hub Qwire splitter is designed to expand the I2C bus in projects based on microcontrollers and prototyping platforms. The module allows parallel connection of multiple sensors, communication modules, or other peripheral devices to a single I2C interface without the need for additional wiring or intermediary boards.
The board is equipped with four I2C Qwire connectors in the JST SH 4-pin 1 mm standard, compatible with Qwiic and STEMMA QT systems, enabling fast, tool-free module interconnection. In addition, an I2C connector compliant with the KAmod standard is provided for direct connection of expansion modules from the KAmod series, along with a 2.54 mm pitch goldpin header exposing I2C bus signals and power lines.
The board includes 4.7 kΩ pull-up resistors for the SDA and SCL lines, which can be independently disconnected using jumpers, simplifying integration with existing systems that already include their own pull-up resistors. A power indicator LED allows quick verification of supply voltage presence, while the option to disconnect the LED helps reduce current consumption in low-power applications. The module does not include an active bus control IC and therefore does not allow simultaneous connection of devices sharing the same I2C address.
