The Kitronik Edge Connector Breakout Board provides convenient access to all signals available on the BBC micro:bit edge connector through standard pin headers. It exposes 21 pins, includes a prototyping area with dedicated 3 V and GND rails, and features clearly labelled connections, making it easy to build custom electronic circuits and connect sensors, modules, and other external hardware. The Pre-built version is supplied with the pin headers already soldered in place. Kitronik 5601B
Designed for use with the BBC micro:bit, the breakout board provides access to all key signals available on the edge connector. A total of 21 pins are brought out to standard pin headers, including GPIO lines, the I²C bus, button A and B connections, and the signals used by the LED matrix. Clear PCB markings make it easy to identify each connection when developing prototypes.
The board also features a dedicated prototyping area with 3 V, GND, and unconnected solder pads for adding custom components. This allows convenient connection of sensors, switches, resistors, and other electronic circuits using jumper wires. Factory-soldered pin headers allow the board to be used immediately without any additional assembly.
