Description

A CS-mount lens with an integrated IR CUT filter switching mechanism is used in IPC AHD camera modules and analog CMOS cameras where adaptation of optical characteristics to changing lighting conditions is required. The IR CUT filter enables physical blocking of infrared radiation in daylight mode to maintain correct color reproduction and its removal in night mode to increase sensor sensitivity.

Filter switching is performed using a pendulum switcher mechanism controlled by a DC voltage in the range of 5V-18V. The lens construction is adapted for operation with image sensors up to 8 megapixels and for cooperation with an HP V5 inductor core, used in monitoring systems and industrial vision applications.

The metal housing provides mechanical stability during continuous operation in vision systems requiring repeated filter switching.
