Description

Kitronik Air Quality Datalogging is a comprehensive solution for monitoring air quality and conducting environmental analysis with the Raspberry Pi Pico. The board is equipped with a BME688 sensor, which measures temperature, pressure, humidity, Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) index, and estimated eCO2 levels. With a built-in RTC and Pico's flash memory, it is ideal for long-term data logging with timestamps. Measurement results can be displayed on a 128x64 OLED screen, while additional 3 ZIP LEDs and a buzzer sound signal provide intuitive visual and auditory notifications. The user also has access to two buttons that can act as control elements during experiments and projects.

The board offers extensive expansion possibilities – including connectors for external analog sensors, servos, motors, or heating pads. GPIO pins are provided in a standard 2.54 mm spacing for easy project expansion. Power can be supplied via a 3xAA battery holder or the POWER connector, which can also be used for connecting a solar panel, allowing experiments with renewable energy sources. A built-in switch and green LED indicate power status. Kitronik provides a dedicated MicroPython module and example programs on GitHub, making the board easy and intuitive to use. This solution is excellent for educational purposes – allowing students to conduct long-term air quality measurements, analyze data, and learn programming and electronics practically. The Kitronik Air Quality Datalogging Board is an ideal tool for school and home experiments, combining learning with practical environmental awareness.
