The touch sensor module (touch button) can be used as a replacement for traditional mechanical buttons. It operates based on the TTP223-B system, which measures the capacity of the metal field on the module. When a change in capacitance is detected (when the finger touches the module or will be close enough), a high state will appear on the sensor output. The sensor will also work if it is covered with a non-metallic surface, e.g. plastic or glass, which can be useful in projects that need to be waterproof. The module has a connector in accordance with the Grove standard.
The module can be used with the Base Shield V2 - shield extension with Grove connectors for Arduino
