

RPLIDAR A2M12 is an advanced laser scanner that allows measurement in a full 360-degree range, taking samples at a frequency of up to 16 kHz. Thanks to this function, the scanner generates precise information about a map of 2D points within a radius of 12 meters. This modern and economical device is used in various areas, such as home robotics, 3D modeling and many others.
Using the theory of laser triangulation, RPLIDAR A2M12 emits and receives laser waves, measuring the distance by calculating the reception time. Powered by the RPVision3.0 engine, the scanner offers full 360 degrees of measurement, a range of 12 meters, light detection and measurement at a frequency of 16 kHz. It also has an angular resolution of 0.225° (10Hz) and an adjustable rotation speed from 5 to 15 Hz, making it ideal for applications requiring accurate measurement data. Data is transferred via the popular UART TTL interface, which facilitates integration with various platforms.
Thanks to the advanced drive with a brushless motor, RPLIDAR A2M12 operates exceptionally quietly. User safety is a priority, which is why the laser power complies with the IEC-60825 standard. The scanner is an excellent tool for precise positioning and obstacle detection. Its lightweight design (190 g) and compact dimensions allow for easy installation anywhere in the house or integration into home robots such as floor sweeping or home care robots. RPLIDAR A2M12, as an economical 2D laser scanner (LIDAR), maintains high performance and provides excellent support for navigation and positioning applications.
