Slamtec Mapper is an extended set with LIDAR sensor from SLAMTEC. It consists of two key elements: a LIDAR laser scanner and a data processing unit. The processing unit has a built-in simultaneous location and mapping algorithm (SLAM), making it an excellent solution for such projects as robot navigation and positioning or environment mapping.
Slamtec Mapper allows you to easily and quickly create maps of areas up to 100 000 m². With a range of up to 40 m and a resolution of up to 5 cm, it is one of the most accurate products of this type on the market. The built-in inertial 9-DOF navigation system guarantees correct map creation even when the module is tilted relative to the ground.
Communication with the set is via a WiFi or Ethernet interface. The implementation process is greatly facilitated by the cross-platform SDK and tools for mobile devices and PCs provided by the manufacturer. The set also has support for ROS (Robot Operating System).
