Description

JETSON-ORIN-NX-DEV-KIT in the 16GB version is a development kit intended for advanced AI projects, robotics, image analysis and edge computing systems. The kit is based on the Jetson Orin NX 16GB module and the JETSON-ORIN-IO-BASE base board, providing a wide range of peripheral interfaces including M.2, DisplayPort, HDMI, USB 3.2, CSI and Gigabit Ethernet. The design enables rapid prototyping and deployment of hardware-accelerated AI solutions.

TOPS

The Jetson Orin NX 16GB module delivers up to 100 TOPS of AI performance in standard mode and up to 157 TOPS after activating SUPER mode, with an increased power limit. It features an 8-core Arm Cortex-A78AE processor and an Ampere architecture GPU with 1024 CUDA cores and 32 Tensor Cores. The kit includes a factory-installed 256GB NVMe SSD, enabling high-speed data read and write operations, which is important when working with large AI models and high-resolution video processing.

Additionally, the module integrates 2x NVDLA v2 accelerators and 1x PVA v2 unit for vision processing, allowing the main processor to be offloaded during AI inference and image analysis tasks.

The integrated 16GB LPDDR5 memory with a bandwidth of 102.4 GB/s ensures high data transfer performance between computing units, enabling stable operation under intensive system load and simultaneous handling of multiple processes. The 128-bit memory bus architecture supports fast operations on large data buffers and minimizes latency during multimedia stream processing.

The platform provides hardware support for H.265 video, offering encoding up to 4K60 and decoding up to 8K30, with the capability to process multiple parallel streams. Integrated PCIe Gen4, USB 3.2 controllers, as well as MIPI CSI-2 interfaces and DP 1.4a / HDMI 2.1 video outputs, ensure a consistent hardware environment for peripheral integration. The design, based on the 260-pin SO-DIMM module format and the dedicated JETSON-ORIN-IO-BASE base board, guarantees stable signal connectivity and operation across various power profiles up to 40 W.

System Architecture Supports

The platform architecture enables the implementation of advanced computing systems requiring parallel data processing, high bus bandwidth and stable operation under increased power limits. The use of a multi-core CPU combined with dedicated acceleration blocks allows efficient system load management and clear task separation between the application layer and hardware layer.

The platform ensures full compatibility with the NVIDIA Jetson software stack, including support for CUDA, cuDNN, TensorRT and multimedia libraries, enabling hardware-level performance optimization. Support for containerization and Linux-based environments allows software version control and integration with advanced CI/CD systems.

Integrated power management mechanisms allow configuration of power profiles depending on computational requirements, enabling performance scaling without hardware modification. The kit also contains efficient active cooling, ensuring stable operation under sustained computational load. The entire platform forms a cohesive hardware-software environment adapted for continuous operation and integration with advanced embedded systems.
