The CAN interface module KAmod with the SN65HVD230 chip enables direct communication with the CAN bus in systems powered by 3.3 V. Compatible with PCA82C250 chips, equipped with ESD protection and functions eliminating interference, it will perform well in industrial, automotive, and IoT projects.
The KAmod CAN SN65HVD230 module enables direct connection of a microcontroller or microsystem to the CAN bus using the SN65HVD230 transceiver, compatible with the PCA82C250 chip. Operating at 3.3 V, it works directly with most modern microcontrollers without the need for logic level converters. The system includes integrated ESD protection and an electromagnetic emission limiting function, which increases operational stability in industrial environments. It supports up to 120 devices on the CAN network and allows activation of the built-in 120 Ω terminating resistor. The bus lines are routed both to a Phoenix MC 3.81 mm screw terminal and goldpin connectors. The module is equipped with a power indicator LED and is designed for operation in Hot Plug systems.
