The M5Stack CAN Unit is a CAN transmitter and receiver module designed for M5Stack sets. It is based on an isolated CA-IS3050G transceiver system, which can provide differential data reception and transmission. The bus can support up to 110 nodes, and the signal transmission speed can reach 1 Mb/s. It has built-in current limiting, overvoltage protection, ground loss protection and thermal shutdown functions. The module has a built-in isolated power supply. The CAN bus is an international serial communication protocol used, among others in the automotive industry and for long-distance communication (up to 10 km). It is characterized by fast data transmission and low failure rate between nodes in the network.
