DMX-Base is a functional base module specifically designed for DMX-512 data transmission applications, enabling communication and control with M5 host devices via serial port. DMX-512 is widely used across various stage and utility technologies. In theaters and concerts, it facilitates comprehensive control over stage lighting and audio equipment, allowing for spectacular shows and precise synchronization of lights with music. In outdoor lighting systems, such as landscape lighting, the module enables automatic on/off switching and brightness adjustment based on time of day or presence detection.

The module is equipped with XLR-5 and XLR-3 connectors (male and female), enabling easy connection of various DMX devices without the need for additional adapters. To enhance signal reliability and protection, it features high-speed optical isolators and a specially isolated power module. The device includes two independent RS-485 circuits, which can operate either in parallel or separately depending on the internal two-position switch. It also supports easy connection of additional RS-485 extension devices via a HT3.96 connector. With stable DC-JACK power supply and a built-in DC-DC converter, the DMX-Base ensures uninterrupted device operation. Support for Arduino and UIFlow development platforms ensures flexibility and seamless integration with various systems.
