M5Stack ATOM Tail485 is an RS485 converter designed for sets from the M5ATOM series: ATOM Lite and ATOM Matrix. It allows you to connect to development kits devices controlled by the RS485 bus. RS485 is a standard that specifies the electrical characteristics of controllers and receivers for use in serial communication systems widely used in industry. It facilitates long-distance communication in environments with electrical noise. The converter is equipped with a Step Down converter that allows you to convert the voltage of 12 V RS485 to 5 V, thanks to which the ATOM set does not require additional power via the USB type C connector.
