A GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite System) receiver, which makes it possible to receive navigation signals from satellite navigation systems such as GPS (Global Positioning System) and BeiDou. With this receiver, accurate positioning and real-time navigation is possible. It has two communication interfaces available, including I2C and UART, which allow data to be transferred from the receiver to other devices. This allows the receiver to be integrated into other systems, such as microcontrollers or minicomputers.
The module offers positioning accuracy of up to 2 m. The first positioning time needed to establish position after power-up or restart is approximately 30 seconds. However, for a hot start, i.e. when the receiver has recently been used and already has partial satellite data, it is only 2 s. An antenna with an IPEX1 connector is included with the receiver. This allows the antenna to be easily connected to the GNSS receiver and ensures reliable signal transmission.
GNSS receivers are widely used in car navigation, vehicle tracking systems, marine navigation systems, geodesy, geolocation and many other fields where precise positioning and navigation are crucial. Full module documentation and sample programs are available on the product page.
